FvF Mixtape #25

What an honor! Somehow through the magic possibilities of the internets I got the chance to contribute a Freunde von Freunden mixtape. The subtitle of mixtape #25 is BETTER sundays THAN mondays (at least that’s the way I call it). A nice selection of Sunday afternoon tunes, where all you want to do is put your feet up and enjoy Beach House, Woodkid, Jai Paul and co.
You may know that music is an important thing in my life. And some of you may know that I am a pretty laid-back person. Not lazy (maybe sometimes) but mostly just easygoing. That’s why I came up with a mixtape for the most laid-back day of the week: the Sunday. And since Monday is sometimes pretty much hated (just because of the fact that the weekend is over), I came up with BETTER sundays THAN mondays.
I guess I don’t have to explain Freunde von Freunden anymore. It’s an original, a real thing. It belongs to the internet like google, twitter, facebook or SoundCloud. The web would be worse without. It is THE inspirational source for housing. The idea behind Freunde von Freunden is that they visit creative people like artists, musicians, designers, bring along a camera and capture the way they live. Or how they explain themselves, it’s “an international interview magazine that portrays people of diverse creative and cultural backgrounds in their homes or within their daily working environments.” (via freundevonfreunden.com). But besides their magazine there is much more. They just introduced the journal, they published a pretty awesome book and every week they put together a mixtape. And everything with high level quality and passion.
I was in contact with Frederik Frede, one of the founders of Freunde von Freunden, next to Tim Seifert. And he is a very nice person. We just wrote a bunch of emails back and forth but you can tell that the team around Freunde von Freunden must be pretty great. You can also say it from the pictures they shoot on instagram.
But enough of talking. This post is about music. And here it is my mixtape for Freunde von Freunden. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do it myself. I am really happy about it.
