Since I saw the movie 500 days of summer, I am a little fan of Zooey Deschanel (and Joseph Gordon-Levitt). And I must admit I found out pretty late that Zooey is also making music. But the band She & Him is really good. Matt Ward is a great completion to Zooey. It’s happy music and I like happy music.
Archive for the “music” CategoryWell you could think that I would get thousands of promotion mails and questions if I could write about this and that BUT that is definetly not the case. Maybe there is one mail in my inbox per week and mostly these things are not the kinds of things I would write about. The week and the month starts perfectly. At NPR music you can listen to the complete album of Broken Bells. The Album is called like the band and after listening to half of the songs, I can say: best album of the world.

Jamie T acousticPosted by: Markus Reuter in audiovisual, concert, music, photography, projectsFinally after cancelling the shows in last year’s October, Jamie T came to Germany to play some concerts. I went to the concert in Hamburg and it was really really good. A great party with an amazing sound. But Kai, Mr. Stylespion, took the bun. Today I am not in the best mood. I don’t know why. Sometimes it is like this. And it has to be like this. It would make me go crazy to be always in a happy funny mood. Perfect timing to listen to some music that represent my feelings. And perfect timing that I stumbled again upon Pipelineclub and their song The Blow. I am a huge fan of I’m from Barcelona. Their first album “Let Me Inroduce You To My Friends” is incredibly good and the second one “Whoi Killed Harry Houdini?” as well. But their new project is something really special. The project is called 27 Songs. Why? Because there are 27 band members and each of them contributes a solo song for the album. I know, I know almost everybody of you heard already about the newest mashup shit of The Kleptones. It is called “Uptime/Downtime” and is seperated into two parts. The first one is the relaxing chillout part (Downtime) and the other part is the rocking party mix (Uptime). How lovely is this? Via a tweet of the incredibly inspring Maria Popova aka @brainpicker I found the short film “Mixtape”.

What’s The Point – New Song of JohnossiPosted by: Markus Reuter in audiovisual, concert, musicI don’t get it. Why are they doing this today, on my birthday? At first Broken Bells present their first video, now Johnossi comes up with their new single: What’s The Point. I am overwhelmed. |
